A free fitness app with tons of exercises
Nike Training Club is a free health and fitness mobile app that enables you to workout anytime. Developed by Nike, Inc., this fitness trainer app offers free workouts, ranging from strength and endurance build-up routines to those focused on mobility and yoga. Nike Training Club has over 100 workouts for all levels of fitness training and body part-focused exercises—and even offers routines for specific gym equipment. Since it’s from a famous sports brand, this app also gives you guidance from Nike trainers and famous athletes. You can sync this with Google Fit.
The perfect workout
Nike Training Club has features that you would typically find in other fitness apps. However, you will be needing a Nike account first—either by manual sign-up or Facebook registration. Once you’re all set up, the app will ask basic questions like how frequently you exercise. Afterward, it will show the main menu that contains sections such as For You, Browse, Collections, and Plans. You can pick out whatever set of workouts you want.
Unlike other fitness apps, this one won’t automatically prompt you for a workout plan so you’ll have to set that up in the Plans section. This app doesn’t set any goals like targeted weight loss after a period—it will only create a selection of exercises that you might be interested in. You can see the duration, intensity, level of workout experience, and what it’s mainly for good—like body endurance, upper body strength, and the like.
The exercises can be previewed, as the app has short tutorial clips on how to do them. You can also access the settings for the workout and activate your music for the app. Once you’ve chosen a workout set you’re interested in doing, a voice recording will start coaching you through the exercises. What’s great about this app is that its workout sets include warm-ups and cooldowns. Plus, you can aim for achievements to motivate yourself. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a checklist training calendar.
